Relation to host.
Vagrant on leaf surface. No damage to the host was observed.
Etymology.
The specific designation
flexuosus
is from the species name of the host plant,
flexuosa
.
Differential diagnosis.
This species is similar to
Calepitrimerus cotoneaster
Song, Xue & Hong, 2009
, from
Cotoneaster buxifolia
Lindl. (
Rosaceae
), but can be differentiated from the latter by median and submedian lines present on prodorsal shield (median and submedian lines absent in
C. cotoneaster
) and prosternal apodeme present (prosternal apodeme absent in
C. cotoneaster
).
