Type :— NEPAL , 1821, Wallich 209.1 ( K , lectotype designated by Fraser-Jenkins, Taxon. Revis. Indian Subcontinental Pteridophytes 164 (2008)) Distribution:— Bhutan , China , India , Myanmar , Nepal , Sri Lanka and Taiwan . Note:—The African species, Hmenasplenium unilaterale (Lam.) Hayata , is widely misreported and confused from India and other parts of Asia in error for H. amoenum ( Fraser-Jenkins, 2008 ; Fraser-Jenkins et., 2017). The nomenclatural ambiguity of A. amoenum has adequately discussed by Fraser-Jenkins (2008) . According to him Asplenium amoenum C.Presl ex Mett. Ueb. Einig. Farngttungen 9:131 (1859) [ Abhandl. Senckenb. Nat. Ges . 3 131 (1859)], was based on Asplenium laetum Wall. , nom, nud., Num. List .: no 209, from Nepal , 1820, which Presl listed in Ten. Pterid .: 107 [not 108, as given by Mettenius] (1836), but did not describe.
