Description. Male.
Body small and slender (

). Head little wider than anterior margin of pronotum, vertex convex with strong bristles, frontal rostrum almost as wide as 1st antennal joint, 5th joint of maxillary palpi long (
Fig. 4E
). Pronotum transverse with strong bristles, posterior margin wider than anterior margin. Tympana on inner side of fore tibiae only (
Fig. 5E
), hind tibia with three pairs of dorsal spurs. Forewing with pubescence and oblique veins on dorsal field, hindwing longer than forewing. Genitalia: pseudepiphallus with lobe on each outside (ps. a. l.), pseudepiphallic paramere (ps. p.) possessing three branches, but short than ps. a. l., outer pair possessing diverging apex, middle pair curved with pointed apex, inner pair straight with pointed apex (

Female. Similar to male, ovipositor short and in yellow color (
Fig. 7E
).
Coloration.
Body almost in brown. A black line above clypeus, but not extended to frontal rostrum (
Fig. 4E
), vertex with irregular black lines, dorsal field of pronotum black, separated by a white line in middle and possessing irregular white stripes, a black line from lateral lobes of pronotum to lateral field of forewing, fore- and mid-femora possessing distinct spot near apex (some individual not), veins yellow and cells black, hindwing black (exceeded part), ovipositor yellow.
Measurements (in mm).
Male: SZ 9.87–10.27, PR 0.81, HF 4.97–5.12; Female: SZ 10.34–11.08, PR 1.03– 1.11, HF 5.92–6.38, OV 2.96–3.09.
Etymology.
The specific epithet
danmai
is for the Chinese phonetic alphabet
淡ü
, which refers to the veins in yellow color, while cells in black.
