Diagnosis: Metacoxa with horn-shaped meracanthus, metatibia usually with grouped apical spurs, metabasitarsus usually with 2 lateral spurs. Larva bearing triangular, petiolate tarsal arolium; often with capitate setae and sectasetae. Internal relationships: The Psyllidae contains five probably monophyletic subfamilies. The phylogenetic relationships between them are unknown.
