Curtonotum gonzo species-group Species included: 2 (Afrotropical). Synapomorphies: Sternite 5 expanded, 4–5 with modified setae (23) and basiphallus with expanded subdivided mid section and cordiform extension of distiphallus (46). The systematic position of C . gonzo and C . sternithrix can only be fully assessed as part of a more extensive molecular study. They are here tentatively ascribed to the speciesgroup based on the aforementioned synapomorphies, but differ externally.
