Diagnosis. MALE. Mandible with five apical teeth, progressively larger downward. Clypeus with subtrapezoidal median lobe, median carina slightly high and straight in profile. Frons coriaceous, punctures shallow, dense and very large. Vertex broad, slightly convex. Tergal process with pair of subtriangular, shallow lateral depression, latero-anterior border setosesetose, tubercle median-sized, tuft of long setae, tubercle and tuft directed upward; outer lateral surface of tergite II higher than inner lateral surface ( Figs 9–11 ). Aedeagal dorsal body much longer than wide, laminar process short with obliquely straight apical margin and straight outer lateral margin; ventral outer lobe of dorsal body slightly arched with angulate apex. Description of hypopygium and genitalia. Hypopygium with median stalk 1.30 × as long as hypopygium, slightly concave posterior margin ( Fig. 96 ). Genitalia ( Fig. 130–132 ). Paramere with apex strongly curved medially, convex dorsal margin, strongly concave ventral margin in ventral view. Basivolsella with wide inner thaianus , 19, metasoma in dorsal view; 20, tergal process of metasoma in dorsal view; 21, tuft of setae of tergal process in dorsal view; 22–23, D. wusheanus , 22, metasoma in dorsal view; 23, tergal process in dorsal view. Outer lobe of aedeagal dorsal body curved laterad, reaching median region of ventral ramus. Remarks. Dissomphalus browni is similar to D. verus sp. nov. because of the following characteristics: hypopygium with long and narrow median stalk, lateral margins slightly converging posterad, corners of posterior margin angulate, dorsal outer lobe of aedeagal dorsal body with laminar process, ventral outer lobe of dorsal body short and arched; ventral ramus as long as dorsal body, cross-section of apex triangular. However, D. browni differs as follows: hypopygium with lateral stalks narrow, apical region of median stalk without constriction, posterior margin with median concavity; base of paramere as wide as basiparamere apex; base of aedeagal dorsal body narrow, laminar process short with obliquely straight apical margin and straight outer lateral margin; ventral outer lobe of aedeagal dorsal body slightly arched with angulate apex. Distribution. Thailand ( Chiang Mai , Loei : Phetchabun , Nakhon Ratchasima , Nakhon Nayok Bangkok and Petchaburi).
