Remarks.
The species was originally described from Bukoba (northeastern
Tanzania
) (
Moser 1914a
,
Beinhundner 2017a
). It is very similar with
Pachnoda rubrocincta
(Hope, 1847)
, but both taxa are easily segregated by morphological features (
Moser 1914a
,
Ruter 1958
) and parameres conformation (
Rigout 1989
). The male adult specimen of MZUC fits very well this species (
Figs. 3h, i
). Biological and ecological data are not available for this species. It is a new species record for
Angola
.
