Previously know only from Mexico , Costa Rica , and Guatemala . The location of the holotype and two paratypes , intercepted at a port in Texas, USA , is unknown ( Hedqvist 1963 ; Infante et al. 1995 ). This is the only known species of the genera with a complete occipital carina. Other diagnostic characters are the presence of a deep and wide midventral groove on mesothorax, a very long ovipositor, about twice as long as body length, and the extensive dark brown body color.
