(unknown locality).
Opinion: The site of collection of this species is unknown, but it was probably in the region. However, its true identity is unknown.
Justification:
Literature analysis
: This species was described as being from the collection of Wood-Mason, who was Director of the Indian Museum and sailed on the “
Investigator
”, but no location or illustrations were given. Although Kükenthal treated the species as an
Echinomuricea
it is not identifiable.
Rao & Devi (2003)
listed it as occurring in the
Andaman and Nicobar Islands
with no evidence.
