Atlantic Ocean: USA, Caribbean Sea, Brazil (state of Maranhao and Sao Paulo, see Suppl. material 1). Remarks. First record for Maranhao . The specimens examined in this study present a long medium antenna reaching up to setiger 5-12; a dorsal hook beginning in the posterior chaetigers supports the identification as Sigambra bassi . The records in the Caribbean and Brazil include estuaries and beaches ( Gillet 1986 , Amaral et al. 2003 ).
