Scales present only on the anterior face of manubrium and dens. Etymology. The species is dedicated to Mrs. Francisca Grau Morea, mother of one of the authors (Mateo Vadell Grau). Remarks. Pseudosinella aeolica Dallai, 1973 , P. subcentralis Da Gama, 1985 and the new species are the only three Palearctic species with three Mc on Th II and one on Th III. Pseudosinella aeolica is a surface species with spatulate tenent hair, four inner teeth on the claw and a rod-like sense organ on the third antennal segment ( Dallai 1973 ). The holotype was examined, and also paratypes on other slides of P. subcentralis from MHNG (Cova dels Estudiants, Sóller, Mallorca, 15.VIII.1975 , Bellés, Cuñé, Comas). If the original description ( Da Gama 1985 ) and type material of P. subcentralis are compared with the new species, the following differences are observed, basal labial row with all chaetae smooth, except for r (rudimentary) and M 1 and L 2 (sometimes ciliated); claw with only paired teeth, ending before the basal third of the claw ( Fig. 2L ); empodial appendage wider and longer than the new species in relation to the claw; rod-like sense organ of the third antennal segment (not confirmed in the type material because of the condition of the specimens of P. subcentralis ); and antennal/cephalic diagonal between 2.3–2.6. Only two species of Pseudosinella have been previously reported from Mallorca: P. subcentralis (‘Cova des Estudiants’, Sóller) and P. mallorquinensis Palacios-Vargas & Simón-Benito, 2009 (from a beach in Sa Calobra). Pseudosinella mallorquinensis can be differentiated from the new species by 1 + 1 eyes, head Mc ‘T’ present, labial chaeta M 1 absent and chaeta ‘E’ smooth, Th II with one and Th III without macrochaetae, Abd II chaeta ‘p’ absent, supplementary chaeta on Abd IV bothriotrichal complex absent, tenent hair spatulate and total length about 0.8 mm .
