Type species: Bizone saalmuelleri Butler, 1882 , by original designation. Diagnosis . The subgenus is described in details by Karisch (2013) . Except the characteristic external appearance, the subgenus is characterized by the scobinated anellus, large aedeagus and vesica bearing two clusters of numerous robust spines in male genitalia, and thick-walled and rugose corpus bursae and the appendix bursae consisting of a thick-walled and rugose, tube-like basal section and a membranous globular distal section in female genitalia. Distribution . The subgenus is endemic for Madagascar Island .
