Distribution.
China
(
Taiwan
).
Remarks.
This species was described by Dai and Li (in
Li
et al.
2011
) from
Taiwan
based on two male specimens deposited in National Museum of Natural Science (NMNS), Taichung,
Taiwan
. We were not able to study the
type
material but according to the original description and illustrations, the shape and appearance of
S. pingtungisis
is very similar to
S. bicoloratus
Viraktamath & Mohan. The
former differs as follows: (1) face without stripe; (2) style with apophysis very long; (3) aedeagal shaft strongly curved ventrad at middle with pair of apical processes parallel to shaft; (4) processes of connective divergent. This species is also very similar to
S. dinghuensis
sp. nov.
in external shape and male genitalia, but differs as indicated in the description below.
