Type material examined. Holotype: ♂ [China] "Mts. Linaoshan, Langping, Tianlin, Guangxi, 28.V.2002, 1400m, leg. Jiang Guofang" (IZAS). Description. Body length: 8.8 mm, length of elytra: 6.6 mm, width: 5.2 mm. Surface of labroclypeus and disc of frons glabrous. Smooth area anterior to eye twice as wide as long. Eyes moderately large; ratio of diameter/interocular width: 0.63. Antennal club as long as remaining antennomeres combined. Ratio of length of metepisternum/metacoxa: 1/1.5. Metafemur dull, anterior margin acute, without submarginal serrated line; anterior row of setae-bearing punctures absent; posterior margin straight. Metatibia moderately long and wide, ratio width/length: 1/3.69; basal group of dorsal spines of metatibia at first third of metatibial length. Aedeagus. Fig. 9 E-G . Habitus: Fig. 9H. Female unknown. Diagnosis. Tetraserica linaoshanica sp. n. differs from all Tetraserica species with a brush of robust trichome-like spines at the base of the right paramere by the left paramere possessing a small lateral basal tooth. Etymology. The new species is named after its type locality, Mt. Linaoshan.
