Distribution . New records: Tasmania (Bicheno, Hairy Wall dive site east of Governor’s I., rock slope, 15–20 m , SAM E2845). Previously known from only two specimens off Waldegrave I. , S.A. The new record suggests that the species has a wide range in the Southern Ocean , extending into the Great Australian Bight and up the eastern coast of Tasmania . Description . The newly recorded specimen has a common cylindrical stalk but the thoracic parts of the zooids are independent of one another each in a separate covering of clear transparent test. Thoracic muscle bands are arranged as recorded for the type , namely 8E, 8B, 2D.
