Taxon classification Animalia Stylommatophora Camaenidae
Amphidromus maculiferus inflata Fulton, 1896
Amphidromus maculiferus var. inflata
Fulton, 1896a: 75.
Type locality.
Baranda Philippines Islands.
Type material.
Lectotype (design. n.), NHMUK 19601466/1 (Fig. 9C; H=64.2 mm, W=34.2 mm), paralectotypes NHMUK 19601466/2-3 (2S, Fig. 9D).
Remarks.
Three specimens originally from the Fulton collection with his handwritten label bearing the taxon and the type locality were located in the NHM collections. The largest shell (64.2
x
34.2 mm) clearly corresponds to the original description and
Fulton's
measurements (66
x
38 mm) and so is here designated as the lectotype to stabilise the name.
