Native to the Iberian Peninsula, Europe, now Cosmopolitan (
Thomas et al. 2010
). In
Chile
this species has been found from
Valparaíso
to Chiloé and in the Juan Fernández Archipelago and Easter Island (
Stuardo and Vega 1985
;
Boyko and Cordeiro 2001
). It was recorded for the first time in the country as
Limax arborum
Bouchard-Chantereaux, 1837
(

)
.
