Diagnosis.
The new species is similar to
R. fopingensis
Wang
et
Zheng, 1995
and
R
.
trilobata
sp. nov.
in male genitalia. It can be distinguished from them by the transtilla lobes touching medially and the aedeagus with an apical spine hooked toward base. In the latter two species, the transtilla is separated medially, and the aedeagus lacks an apical spine.
Description.
Adult (
Fig. 13
). Wingspan 10.0 −
12.5 mm
.
Head
dark brown except frons whitish yellow on lower half. Labial palpus yellow, in male second palpomere black in distal half, in female second and third palpomeres black on ventral surface. Antenna black on dorsal surface, yellow on ventral surface.
Thorax
and tegula dark brown. Forewing dark brown to black; costal spot yellow, at distal 1/4−1/5; discal, discocellular and plical stigmata black, edged with a whitish yellow stripe or a few whitish yellow scales; fringe black. Hindwing and fringe dark greyish brown. Legs yellow; on dorsal surface, femur and tibia of foreleg black, tibia of midleg black, with yellow stripe at middle and apex, tarsi of fore- and midlegs black at middle of first tarsomere, at base of second tarsomere as well as on entire third and fourth tarsomeres; tibia of hindleg black on outer surface, tarsus black on outer surface of third tarsomere and at base of other tarsomeres.
Male genitalia
. (
Fig. 25
) Uncus broad sub-triangular, obtuse at apex, sclerotized and sinuate laterally. Gnathos with ventral plate broad, narrowly concave at middle on posterior margin, rounded on anterior margin; basal arm banded, gradually widened from base to ventral plate. Tegumen arched, with a large semicircular anterior emargination; lateral arm narrowed to apex, twice length of median width. Valva narrowed at base, gradually widened to before basal 2/5, then subparallelly sided to obtusely rounded apex; costa banded, widened distally, not reaching tip of costal margin; transtilla lobes widened and fused medially, produced to a short thumb-shaped process posteromedially; sacculus 1/3 length of valva, triangular, gradually narrowed from base to apex; apex acute, hooked obliquely dorsad. Saccus semielliptical, obtusely rounded on anterior margin. Juxta dune-like; lateral arm banded, basal 3/4 wide, distal 1/4 narrow. Aedeagus about 3/4 length of valva, widened from base to basal 1/4, then slightly tapered to basal 3/5; distal 2/5 uniform, with tiny teeth along one side near apex, with a small toothed plate near apex on another side; apex rounded, with a relatively large spine-shaped process bent toward base.
Female genitalia
(
Fig. 31
). Apophyses anteriores shorter than half length of apophyses posteriores. Eighth sternal plate spiculate, rounded on posterior margin. Lamella antevaginalis inverted U-shaped; lateral lobe narrowed to apex. Antrum sub-rectangular. Ductus bursae and corpus bursae membranous; signum absent.
Distribution.
China
(
Tibet
).
Etymology.
