Valve ends protracted and capitate. Raphe biarcuate with dorsally bent proximal endings. Length 18.3 μm, valve breadth 3.3 μm. Striae radiate throughout, 24–25/10 μm. Distribution and ecology:— A single specimen was found at Gongbujiangda, Tibet , China , altitude 3550 m a.s.l., pH 7.2, collected in a swamp near the road.
