None of the specimens correspond to the original figured by
d'Orbigny
. A lectotype-closest to the measurements given by
d'Orbigny-has
been chosen by Breure from among the material in the Paris museum (
Breure 1975b
: 1151). The current systematic position follows
Richardson (1995
: 145).
