Three specimens of this species were obtained from Station 314, lat. 32 3 24:' N., long. 78° 44' \\ r ., at a depth of 142 fathoms. The species has also been found only by the U. S. Fish Commission off L J Newport, R. I., in 115 to 150 fathoms.
