Tegmen broad, 5.7–6.7 mm long, fuscous, usually with pale, smooth (translucent?) patches. Surface sculpture more dense in costal space. Main veins, including ambient vein, beset with granules. R forked about tegmen midlength. M slightly S-shaped about nodal level. Basal cell closed by indistinct arculus (PIN 2971/209) or M+CuA anastomosis. Distal CuA weakly diverging from CuP. Etymology. Latin ansatus (provided with handle(s)).
