This remarkable species is dedicated to Douglas (Doug) M. Kroon, in appreciation of his outstanding contributions to the exploration of the lepidoptera of southern Africa. Description ( Figs 4–5 ). Wingspan 64 mm , forewing length 29 mm , antenna 16 mm , body without legs 31 mm . Antenna simple, without pectination. Body and legs black with weak gloss; hind leg very long and slender, about twice the length of the abdomen, with tibia and first two joints of tarsus highly elongated. Fore- and hindwings similarly coloured, dark greenish-grey with intensive green metallic gloss, basal area black, underside of both wings black with blue gloss. The male is unknown. Genitalia.
