One of four short-looped terebratulides, it is widely distributed in the studied area, being found on 12 seamounts and on the southern slopes of
New Caledonia
and the Isle of Pines (
Tables 1
, 2), with a depth range of
228–1150 m
(

).
Stenosarina crosnieri
was first reported from the
Norfolk
Ridge by
Laurin (1997)
and
Zezina (2005)
and is common around
New Caledonia
. It also occurs in the Indian Ocean on the northwestern side of
Madagascar
(
Cooper 1983
;
Logan 2007
).
