Type locality. Búzios , Rio de Janiero , Brazil . Remarks. The species is black and is similar in appearance but larger than G. c u t a , G. nadae and G. platyrhina . It possesses a timbal cover that expands over the lateral timbal cavity with the rounded apex ( Fig. 18 ). Body length 16–22 mm , fore wing length 22.5–29 mm ( Boulard 1999 and specimens in the AFSC ). Distribution. The species has been reported previously from Brazil and French Guiana ( Boulard 1999 ; Sanborn 2011a ).
