Two new species and new records of lichen-feeding darkling beetles (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae: Helopini) from Turkey with notes on bionomics and trophic relations

Distribution and bionomics.
The subspecies
H. glabriventris jelineki
was described from Crete (
Picka 1984
). The nominotypical subspecies is widespread in Western
Anatolia
in
İzmir
,
Muğla
,
Isparta
,
Konya
,
Antalya
, and
Mersin
provinces (
Nabozhenko & Keskin 2017
), and also in
Cyprus
(
Nabozhenko
et al.
2020a
). It inhabits coniferous forests of
Pinus nigra
,
Cedrus libani libani
,
Juniperus excelsa
,
Abies cilicica
in
Anatolia
and
Pinus brutia
,
Pinus nigra
, and
Cedrus libani brevifolia
Hook F.
in
Cyprus
. We collected this subspecies additionally on
Pinus brutia
trunks and registered two host lichens (both from the family
Parmeliaceae
) in Ibradı:
Pseudevernia furfuraceae
and
Parmelina pastillifera
.
