Diagnosis.
This species has a rugulose preepisternum, copper-red metasomal terga and striate gena and postgena, characteristics that separates it from other
Oxystoglossella
occurring at the southernmost South America.
A. (Augochlora) hestia
sp. nov.
is similar to this species in color pattern, but lacks the typical characteristics of the subgenus.
