Habitat & Ecology:

grows under the shade of the primary evergreen forest at an elevation of
1000–1100 m
.
Phenology:
—Flowering and fruiting from February to August.
Vernacular name:
—Xú hưƠng naiki.
Notes:
—
Lasianthus naikii
was described from a Vietnamese specimen (
Dang 453, VNM
) by
Dang
et al.
(2022)
. It is similar to
L. formosensis
Matsum. (1901: 17)
, but differs from the latter in having less than secondary veins, bracts present (vs. absent), longer calyx tubes, and corolla lobes 6 (vs. 5).
