This is a Central European species, in the Balkans it is known from
Slovenia

Herzegovina
,
Serbia
,
Macedonia
and
Bulgaria
. The Greek locality is a small forest stream in the Verno Mountains. This range is connected to the Pindos mountain system, where the
type
locality of
S. graeca
(Aubert)
is located, and the occurrence represents an additional evidence of the overlapping distribution of the two species. New for the Greek fauna.
