The genus
Microlestria

, has three described species (
Maldonado 1990
). Label data show that it is commonly found on debris or near soil.
M. laevis
was previously known only from
Mexico
,
Panama
, and
Brazil
(Champion 1899;
Maldonado 1990
). For the first time, the genus and species are here recorded from
Colombia
, with an additional locality from
Panama
(
Fig. 54
).
