Haasea Verhoeff, 1895 - a genus of tumultuous history and chaotic recordsredefinition, revision of taxonomy and geographic distributions, with descriptions of two new species from Austria and Serbia (Diplopoda, Chordeumatida, Haaseidae) Author Antić, Dragan Author Akkari, Nesrine text Zootaxa 2020 2020-06-16 4798 1 1 77 journal article 21683 10.11646/zootaxa.4798.1.1 d8c0dac0-6b03-43f4-be6d-1dc3d3d9cfa3 1175-5326 3896551 4830ED2F-DB55-468E-97D4-2A278CBA6CE0 Haasea plasana ( Verhoeff, 1899 ) Figs 22 , 23 , 38 , 42 Orobainosoma (Brachybainosoma) plasanum Verhoeff, 1899 Orobainosoma flavescens Attems (1929) (misidentification) Diagnosis. Differs from the other congeners, with exception of H. intermedia , H. lacusnigri , H. microcorna and H. makarovi sp. nov. , by the presence of strongly developed anterior lateral process on angioxocite. Clearly differs from those species by the presence of distally bifurcated anterior lateral process (vs. simple anterior lateral process in H. intermedia , H. lacusnigri , H. microcorna and H. makarovi sp. nov. ). Distribution ( Figs 38 , 42 ). Bosnia & Herzegovina : Plasa Mt., near Jablanica ( Verhoeff 1899 ), Trebević Mt., near Sarajevo ( Verhoeff 1899 ). Serbia : Petrova Ravan, Ravnište, Mt. Kopaonik ( Makarov et al. 2004 ). Type locality. Plasa Mt. in Bosnia & Herzegovina . Comments. The distance between Serbian and Bosnian localities is some 200 km . Given that western and southwestern Serbia , as well as Bosnia and Herzegovina , are very poorly studied in terms of millipede fauna, this gap will certainly be filled in the future. Evidence for this is that some millipedes described from the same localities in Bosnia and Herzegovina , are recently found in the territory of southwestern Serbia . Attems (1929: 318) stated the locality Trebević as the new locality for Orobainosoma flavescens even if, just a few sections below, he stated both Verhoeff’s (1899) localities—Plasa and Trebević for Brachybainosoma plasanum . From Attems catalogue in NHMW ( Fig. 10 ) for Craspedosoma / Orobainosoma flavescens the locality “Trebević” is stated under the number 17. Later, Attems crossed out the name of this locality for O. flavescens and wrote Brachybainosoma next to “Trebević”. It is obvious that Attems recognized the mistake and autocorrected himself. Later, he stated Brachybainosoma plasanum in the vial with specimens from Trebević.
