The second species assigned to this genus is less elongate than mollis ; it is also distinguished from the latter by being light brown and not blackish in the tibiae, tarsi, and antennal segment II except apically; furthermore, the structure of the pygophore and paratergites VIII in both sexes are different. Description. Macropterous male; surface of body finely granulate with only few round flat scales on head and thorax; colouration light brown with darker spots on head, apex of scutellum, lateral margins of deltg II–VII, pygophore and membrane; blackish are the meso- and metasternum, the femora and anterolateral segments I, II, apex of III and IV. Head: Slightly shorter than wide (11.5/12.5); genae thin adhering to clypeus and shorter than the latter; antenniferous lobes with acute apex shorter than clypeus; antennae about twice as long as width of head (25.5/ 12.5), segment I clavate and thickest, II thinner and shorter, III cylindrical and longest widening at apex, IV fusiform with pilose apex; length of antennal segments I/II/III/IV = 6/4/10/5.5; eyes oval inserted in head; postocular lobes laminate roundedly converging posteriorly; vertex with longitudinal rows of granules; rostrum arising from a slit-like atrium shorter than head. Pronotum: About twice as wide as long (25.5/13); lateral margins emarginate and granulate on anterior 2/3, sinuately converging anteriorly to subangulate anterolateral angle; collar thin and carinate, laterally not distinctly separated by anincision from anterolateral angle of pronotum; surface of disk granulate with shallow callosities on anterior half, posterior half raised at humeri; posterior margin concave at middle. Abdomen: Lateral margins of deltg II–VI straight, pe-angles deltg V–VI slightly protruding, VII rectangular and truncate posteriorly; carinate lateral margin of tergal plate is exposed along inner margin of deltg III–VII. Venter: Metathoracic scent gland canal distinct; stridulatory structure on vltg III lacking; spiracles II–IV ventral far from lateral margin, V sublateral scarcely visible, VI–VIII lateral and visible from above. Hemelytra: Anterolateral margin of corium carinate and slightly concave, longer than scutellum; membrane greyish with irregular dark brown spots covering tergal plate Legs: Femora and tibiae slender as in mollis . Genitalic structures: Pygophore small and conical, wider than long with a posteriorly produced dorsal ridge on anterior half, lateral portions granulate; paratergites VIII large and ovate longer than pygophore. The single male was not dissected to study parameres. Female: Generally as male but of larger size and wider abdomen; pe-angles of tergite VII blunt and truncate posteriorly; paratergites VIII large with rounded apices, these longer than truncate tergites IX+X. Measurements. Holotype : Length 3.75 mm ; width of abdomen across tergite IV 33; paratype : Length 4.6mm ; head length / width 14/14; pronotum l/w 15/29; scutellum l/w 13/16; length of antennal segments I/II/III/ IV = 8/5/14/7; ratio length of antennae / width of head 2.43; width of abdomen across tergite IV 41. Etymology. From>secundus<(Latin) second, referring to the fact that it is the second species placed in this new genus. Distribution. Recorded from the same places as Bergrothista maculipennis n. sp. —Périnet (Andasibe) in central-eastern part and the Anosyenne mountain range in the south of Madagascar .
