) do not differ appreciably from those illustrated by Williams and
Bell (1934)
. The valva in Evans’ (1952) illustration is shorter than reality, a feature common to many of his
Bungalotis
depictions. No variation was noted within the series from
Rondônia
.
Bungalotis erythus
is rare in the vicinity of Cacaulândia, with records for February, July, November, and December (
Fig. 126
). This species has been reported from southern
Mexico
south into northeastern South America to
Ecuador
,
Peru
,
Bolivia
, and the Distrito Federal,
Brazil
