Species diagnosis. This species differs from the other species of
Pirangoclytus
Martins & Galileo, 2011
by the integument of the head, basal antennal segments and anterior half of pronotum reddish orange; posterior half of pronotum covered with yellow pubescence; and elytron black with three distinctive yellow pubescence fasciae, usually forming a triangle in the middle (
Martins and Galileo 2011: 199
