Aphelenchoides sphaerocephalus
Goodey, 1953
A. sphaerocephalus
was described from
Evodia roxburghiana
Benth.
(
Rutaceae Juss.
) on dry leaves with yellow specks (
Goodey 1953
). This is the only known host for this nematode (UCDavis' Nemabase 2010), and to the best of our knowledge, that report is also the only one on the family
Rutaceae
for any plant-parasitic
Aphelenchoides
. It should be noted that
Ditylenchus drepanocercus
Goodey, 1953
(
Tylenchida
Thorne, 1949
:
Anguinidae
Nicoll, 1935
) was found occurring with
A. sphaerocephalus
in the same symptomatic samples (
Goodey 1953
).
