Material examined. KSA : ASIR : Abha, Raidah, vi.2011 , (MT), Coll. Z. Ahmad (1 ♀, on slide, EH.1483) ( ZDAMU ). Comments. This specimen clearly belongs to an undescribed species of Tyndarichus Howard , but is not described as the right wings are missing and the left fore wing is distorted in about apical third. This specimen differs from all the described species of the genus (35 species, see Hayat 2012 ) in the following characters: frontovertex broad, 0.53× head width; eye height 1.4× malar space; mandible with two pointed teeth and a slightly receding blunt tooth; and the ovipositor 2× as long as mid tibia. This species will be considered when more specimens become available.
