Habitus as in Fig. 92 . Forebodyreddishdarkbrown, abdomendarkbrownbutslightlytranslucent. Legs, mouthpartsandbasalantennomeresmediumbrown, antennalarticles 3–10 darkbrown, butterminalantennomeresomewhatlighter, mandiblesmorereddishwithapexinfuscate. Head transversewithrounded, bulgingtemplesjustslightlywiderthaneyes. Clypeusvir- tuallyunpuncturedandunsculptured, shiny. Epistomalsutureposteriortoimaginaryline connectingsupraantennalprominences. Medialportionofoccipitalgroovebendingposte- riorly (notanteriorly), neckcoveredbycoriaceousmicrosculpturewithisodiametriccells. Vertexwithveryscattered, indefiniteborderedandvariouslysizedpunctures; punctation neartemplesmuchdenserandobscurespostocularridge. Faintlongitudinalimpressions runningonbothsidesofvertexfromepistomalsuturetooccipitalgroove, becomingmore markedposteriorly. Headsurfaceotherwiseshiny, withoutmicrosculpture. Pronotum with complete, thinmarginalbead. Surfaceshiny, withoutanymicrosculpturebutmorestrong- lypuncturedthanhead, indefinite-bordered, mostlyratherlargepits (slightlyumbilicate) almosteverywhereonsurfaceexceptalongmidlineandnarrowlyalongposteriormargin. Longitudinalmidlinemarkedinposterior 1/3. Onbothsidesofmidlinemiddle-posterior 3/5 ofdiscstronglyimpressed. Elytra withdiscgentlyconvex, twoverythinandshallow longitudinalimpressionsalongsuturebehindscutellum, anteriorhalfofdisclongitudinallyimpressedinmiddle. Epipleuralridgepresentonalmostentirelength. Thinmarginal beadwithobscureconnectiontoepipleuralridgecontinuingalongposteriormargin, not reachingsuturalcorner, slightlycurvinganteriorlybeforeit. Alongsutureveryfinemar- ginalbeadonlyconspicuousbecauseofdarkercolour. Elytralpunctationveryshallow, moreorlessequallyspaced, moderatelysparse, missingonathin, slightlyelevatedstripe alongsuture. Abdomen shinyandsmoothwithonlytinyinsertionpointsofsetaeandex- tremelyfaintcoriaceousmicrosculpturewithisodiametriccells. MalesterniteVIIIasinFig. 25, aedeagusasinFigs 23–24, femalesterniteVIIIasinFig. 26, spermathecaasinFig. 27. Distribution – ThespeciesisonlyknownfromonelocalityinMadagascarandis probablyendemictotheisland. Etymology – ThenameofthespeciesreferstoitsbeingfromMadagascar, thepeople andthelanguagebothcalledMalgasy. Remarks – Allthespecimensareinsomewhatdecayedcondition, some legsandantennaearemissing. NoothermaterialfromMadagascarwas found. Thespeciesstandsoutforthemedianlobebeingporousonapicalhalf oppositebasalorifice.
