This type genus of the tribe Auricillocorini is presumably most closely related to Zaratus Distant , on the basis of similarity of the external appearance and male genitalia. Auricillocoris is composed of rare species, with only 15 specimens having so far been known. No information on the biology and morphology of the female genitalia is currently available.
