Greece : Ladha, Taygetos ( type locality) ( Attems 1903 ), Mistras, 500m , 7km E of Sparta, Taygetos Mts. ( Strasser 1967 ). World distribution. Endemic to the Taygetos Mts., Peloponnese, Greece . Remarks. The new material supports Strasser’s (1967) observation on the lateral caudal process of the opisthomere ( lcp on Figs 19–21 ), which again proved to be variable: on the specimens from Paradisa it is a simple process ( sensu Attems (Strasser 1967)) ( Fig. 19 ), on those from the other two localities it is more or less serrated ( sensu Strasser (1967)) ( Figs 20–21 ). It is the second species of the subgenus Dittozus Attems, 1940 , but its validity was seriously questioned by Strasser (1967) .
