(unspecified type locality), Tsarevo (Michurin), Southeast Bulgaria ( Vagalinski & Stoev 2007 ); Greece : Thrace: 20km W from Alexandroupolis ( Strasser 1976 ). World distribution. This subspecies can be found only in Bulgaria and Greece , while the nominotypical subspecies lives in Ukraine ( Golovatch 1990 ) and Russia with the river Dnieper as a supposed western borderline ( Prisnyi 2001 ). Remarks. It occurs from sea level to ca. 300m a.s.l. First Megaphyllum (and millipede) record on Samothraki Island, fitting well with the “Thracian” distribution.
