Chromatoiulus beroni : Ceuca 1992 : 425 . Megaphyllum beroni : Vagalinski & Stoev 2007 : 48 ; Enghoff & Kime 2009 . Distribution in the Balkans. Bulgaria : Rhodope Mts.: Dyavolskoto Garlo Cave near Trigrad ( type locality) ( Vagalinski & Stoev 2007 ). World distribution. Endemic to the Rhodope Mts., Bulgaria . Remarks. Though known only from a cave, this species is regarded as trogloxene, having no evident troglobiotic adaptations. Thorough searching of the cave did not result in a second finding of beroni , thus it could have been an accidental shelter in the cave of a very rare, endemic surface species ( Beron 1994 ).
