Diagnosis.
This species is superficially similar to
P. brevisaccata
Du, Wang & Li, 2013
by sharing a similar forewing pattern. It can be distinguished from the latter by the juxta with a pair of long lateral lobes and the aedeagus with a spiniform cornutus in the male genitalia, and the corpus bursae with two signa in the female genitalia. In
P. brevisaccata
, the juxta is not distinctly bilobed, the aedeagus lacks a cornutus, and the signum is absent.
Description.
Adult (
Fig. 1
) wingspan
8.5 mm
. Head with frons ochreous yellow, vertex ochreous brown, occiput ochreous brown mixed with silvery white. Labial palpus with second segment ochreous yellow, tinged with black apically; third segment white at base and apex, blackish brown at middle, shorter than second segment. Antenna with scape white except black at apex; flagellum blackish brown ventrally, black alternated with white dorsally. Thorax ochreous brown, dotted with silvery white posteriorly; tegula ochreous brown, with a short silvery white strip at middle on outer margin. Forewing ochreous yellow, tinged with dense black scales along distal part of costal margin, with ill-defined black diffusion beyond middle; with eleven silvery white speckles bordered by black scales: costal margin with a larger sub-rounded silvery white spot before 2/3, beneath it situated a silvery white dot, in male this dot diffused to costal spot; fold with silvery white spot at base and apex; cell with silvery white spot at basal 1/4, and at basal 1/3 and 5/7 on lower margin; dorsum with fine silvery white streak at base, at basal 1/6 and 1/3 respectively, with an elliptic silvery white spot at distal 1/4; apex with a round silvery white spot; cilia pale ochreous yellow except white tinged with black before tornus. Hindwing and cilia brown. Foreleg with femur brown, tibia and tarsus blackish brown tinged with white stripes dorsally; midleg with femur yellow, tibia yellow ventrally, blackish brown dorsally, tarsus blackish brown with white stripes except white at apex; hindleg with femur and tibia brown, tarsus blackish brown except basal tarsomere white at apex, distal tarsomere and distal half of second tarsomere white dorsally.
Male genitalia (
Fig. 9
). Uncus parallel laterally in basal half, narrowed from middle to rounded apex. Gnathos broad tongue-shaped, granulate on distal half, rounded apically. Tegumen branched from middle, distinctly narrowed anteriorly. Valva sub-rectangular, bearing sparse setae distally, obtusely rounded at apex; costa convex medially; sacculus narrowed from base to approximately 2/3, distal 1/3 slightly wider, setose, with a coracoid apical process directing dorsad. Saccus parallel laterally, slightly narrowed to rounded apex distally, about twice length of uncus. Juxta separated from near base, reaching base of uncus apically, left lobe slightly longer than right lobe; basal lobe slender, reaching anterior 1/4 of saccus. Aedeagus with basal 1/4 uniformly narrow, median part thickened, distal 1/4 obviously narrowed; cornutus strong and spiniform, approximately 1/3 length of aedeagus, placed distally.
Female genitalia (
Fig. 16
). Apophyses anteriores about 3/4 length of apophyses posteriores. Lamella postvaginalis sub-rectangular, with fine setae. Antrum broad, narrowed anteriorly. Ductus bursae with basal 1/3 sclerotized and straight, distal 2/3 membranous and inflated. Corpus bursae elliptical; two signa elongate elliptical, with dense denticles that are joined basally, somewhate cataphracted.
Distribution.
China
(
Hainan
).
Etymology.
The specific epithet is derived from the Latin
antero
- and
dilatatus
, referring to the inflated anterior portion of the ductus bursae in the female genitalia.
