Diagnosis.
Dichotropis straatmani
is indistinguishable externally from
D. brevis
sp. nov.
,
D. nivea
sp. nov.
, and
D. peregrina
sp. nov.
, all three also found in New
Guinea
. The males can be recognized by the very short lateral processes on the anal segment, by the genital styles being produced at the apical, dorsal corner and by the distal dorsal process of the genital styles having a broad and nearly rectangular base.
