Cuticle with transverse rows of punctuations, laterally differentiated as a ridge with coarse longitudinal dots arranged in rows. Unusually lateral differentiation with larger dots irregularly spaced at some body region and arranged longitudinal rows of dots on rest of body. Posterior part of buccal cavity cylindrical and located with three pointed teeth at border to anterior part. Spicules slender, slightly bent or curved, usually differentiated. Apophyses directed caudally and parallel to the body axis or dorsocaudally. Type species: Dorylaimopsis punctata Ditlevsen, 1918
