ThiS wideSpread and conchologically Variable Euro-Siberian SpecieS of lymnaeid SnailS proVed to be more or leSS common in Mongolia. We found ShellS of Radix balthica in SampleS collected in VariouS waterbodieS of WeStern and Northern Mongolia. Lymnaea ovata (Draparnaud, 1805) recorded by SitnikoVa et al . (2006) from the HöVSgöl Lake Should, moSt probably, be identified with R. balthica . Extra-limital distribution. Europe, Siberia ( KrugloV 2005 ). Remark. Three nomimal SpecieS of Peregriana of Mongolia deScribed by KrugloV & StarobogatoV (1983) are probable junior SynonymS of R. balthica . TheSe are Lymnaea ( Peregriana ) nogoonica KrugloV et StarobogatoV, 1983 (See fig. 5 F), L. ( P. ) tsalolikhini KrugloV et StarobogatoV, 1983 (See fig. 5 G), and L.
