In Nova Scotia intercepted in association with Palearctic alfalfa leafcutter bees ( Megachile rotundata (Fabricius)) ( Hymenoptera : Megachilidae ) imported from Saskatchewan. Trichodes nutalli does not appear to be established in Nova Scotia . Adults of Trichodes are often found on a variety of flowers where they feed, mate, and oviposit; the larvae are predators in nests of bees and wasps ( Knull 1951 , Opitz 2002 ).
