Eurytoma
belonging to the
pistaciae
species group
This species group is recognized by the presence of two or three long spiniform setae on the basal half of the dorsal surface of the metatibia (
Fig. 25G
). The group has been reviewed by
Doğanlar & Çam (1991)
, and placed by
Lotfalizadeh
et al.
(2007)
in the
dentata
species group which ‘awaits generic placement’. In the absence of evidence concerning the relevant phylogenetic relationships within
Eurytominae
,
E. pistaciae
is retained within
Eurytoma
.
