COMMENTS
: In the original description, Neumann designated as
holotype
the specimen bearing his number 411. He apparently considered that only the
one specimen
belonged to the new subspecies; it is marked ‘‘Typus’’ in Neumann’s hand. All of the other specimens of ‘‘
Alseonax murina
’’ that he collected were listed under ‘‘
Alseonax murinus pumilus
’’.
