Philbyella elba Linnavuori, 1973: 119 , fig. 67a–d. Philbyella adeiba Badawy, El Hamouly & Sawaby, 2011: 500 , figs 1–15, syn. n. Note. Ph. elba was described by Linnavuori (1973) from northeastern Sudan ( Kassala ) and Ph. adeiba was described from the neighboring region of southeastern Egypt (Gabal Elba in Halayeb Triangle) ( Badawy et al. 2011 ). The synonymy is based on the characters of male genitalia: peculiar male anal tube, with lobe-shaped lateral margins; hind margin of pygofer distinctly convex; apical aedeagal processes narrow, rounded apically, well visible above the phallobase; ventral aedeagal hooks directed upwards ( Linnavuori 1973 , figs 67a, 67c; Badawy et al. 2011 , fig. 7).
