A Solariola group generally of small to medium sized species (TL: 2.1 5– 3.80 mm ; BL: 1.80–3.10 mm ) with elytra more or less elongate (EL: 1.30–2.30 mm , EW: 0.65–1.10 mm , EL/EW: 2.00–2.10) and slender body shape. Epistome absent. Rostrum elongate (RL: 0.35–0.60 mm , RW: 0.20–0.40 mm , RL/RW: 1.25–1.75). Mesorostrum carinae generally with divergent sides, sometimes parallel. Forehead at the widest point/mesorostrum at the widest point ratio 2.00–2.00 (measurement at 50 magnifications). Submentum with pappolepida thin and flattened. Antennae more or less long and slender (SL: 0.40–0.72 mm , FL: 0.60–1.05 mm , SL/FL: 0.63–0.84). Pronotum more or less elongate or as long as wide (PL: 0.46–0.82 mm , PW: 0.44–0.78 mm , PL/PW: 1.00–1.18) without echinopappolepida at base. Distribution. The species of this group are present in Calabria and Sicily . (Figs 223, 223a). Main soil type . Vertic Cambisol (2), Dystrict Cambisol (12). Reproduction. All the species are amphigonic.
